  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?

Roughly 5 years now. I actually had an account with the username "lambcaey," but I shut it down in the late 2000's due to an extended hiatus. After several months, I made a new account called "RaltheCommentator," and the rest is art history! XP

2.  What does your username mean?

    Lambcaey: It's a funny story. Around 2000, I was trying to get a Nick account to play a Wild Thornberries Safari game. At the same time, I'd been watching re-runs of Charlie Brown, and I remember one episode where Marcie was upset that a boy in school kept calling her "lamb cake." I tried to use that name for my username, but it was taken. Tried "lambcakey;" still taken. For some reason, I decided to remove the "k," and thus the name "lambcaey" was born, and I've used it for multiple accounts since.

    RaltheCommentator: My initials + the Commentator. Made this back when I thought I'd just be using my new account to leave comments.

    3. Describe yourself in three words.
  • Sweet
  • Creative
  • Fangirl
    4. Are you left or right handed?

    Right ^^

    5. What was your first deviation?
Technically, my VERY first one was some "Three Caballeros" fan art that I drew by hand in the mid 2000s. As far as THIS account, though, probably some Epic Mickey fan art ^^;

    6. What is your favourite type of art to create?

Fan art, no contest. Pretty much all I ever draw these days XP

    7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

    Probably either 3D or stop-motion animation. The latter is especially a tricky art I'd love to do efficiently ^^

    8. What was your first favourite?

    Again, probably some Epic Mickey fan art. My early favorites, though, are probably now on deactivated accounts ^^;

    9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?

    Again, fan art. It's amazing how hard fans will work to dedicate their talents to their favorite franchises. They've made some pretty beautiful pieces.

    10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

    , no question. At least 4 years ago, there I was, still new to Deviantart, a socially awkward Disney & Epic Mickey fan girl, when I stumbled upon her amazing Epic Mickey and Clockman comics. I'd enjoyed RPing in other fan sites and forums before, so I thought I'd give it a shot with another die-hard fangirl here. 4 year's later, we're still RPing, with new franchises, new characters, and over 50,000 notes in my Inbox. Not only are we BFFO (Best Friends Forever Online), but we're also BFFIRL. :heart:

    11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

    Although I've already met her in person, I'd DEFINITELY want to spend more time IRL with since most of our social time is behind our computer screens. XP I'd also REALLY like to meet famed animators & writers Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust, known as and , at least once in my life time!!! :love: HUGE inspirations, and the makers of some of my all-time favorite cartoons, like Powerpuff Girls and Wander Over Yonder

    12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?

If there were anybody specific, has become my closest friend. Not only are we two Disney geeks in a pod, but we're there for each other when things get tough IRL.

Generally speaking, just fan artists and writers have deeply inspired me to put a lot of effort into my fan pieces so that they have a lot of intelligence behind it, and are NOT just a figment of a fangirl's overactive imagination (Yaoi, OC shipping, etc). "Blue Sky," easily the best Portal 2 fanfiction ever written, has inspired me to write my own fics more descriptively and visually, so that the readers can envision the scenes in their heads.

    13. What are your preferred tools to create art?

    Wacom Bamboo Tablet, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. Any animation I make is typically done in Flash.

    14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

    Any place where my mind can wander in peace and quiet. Very often, my biggest creative ideas come when I'm daydreaming or going on a walk, especially when I'm listening to my favorite music. I always listen to movie soundtracks, so, many times, the music will help me envision how a scene or image will play in my head, and either draw it on my tablet, or write it on the Sta.sh writer. ^^

    15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

    Man, I've had a LOT of really good memories, but I'd have to say my very best one so far has been New Year's Eve 2014.

    Through the last week of December, including Christmas, I was going through a very difficult time. I was in the hospital for a week, I was under a lot of stress, and the reason I was in there was undoubtedly the closest experience to pure Hell that I've endured in my life so far. I was released right around New Year's Eve, and I was already making significant progress since my very un-Merry Christmas. First thing I did on DA was let know why I was absent for a week, and, like many of my loved ones IRL, she was very comforting and understanding about the whole ordeal right from the get go.

    As we watched the ball drop from Times Square on an online live stream, we both gave each other virtual hugs, eternally grateful that I was still around to enjoy another year with wonderful people like her. ^^

So Del..
